A not so "flaming" June 2011.

This month's pictures were the result of Jean getting out on the hills during some of the better weather, that is when she was not supplying me with constant mugs of tea to aid my recovery. I am not good at being inactive and Jean's comment that "the impatient patient was trying her patience" was probably fair! Anyway I hope you enjoy this month's "Latestpictures." Lets hope July and August prove to be more like summer than May and June were.

Friday Jun 3rd. Ben! Jean's occasional companion.

Friday Jun 3rd. An extremly hot and sunny day. Looking down Raise Beck to Dunmail Raise.

Friday Jun 3rd. From the path to Dollywagon, Grisedale Tarn and Seat Sandal.

Friday Jun 3rd. From the top of Dollywagon Grisedale and Place Fell ahead and St Sunday Crag on the right.

Friday Jun 3rd.Looking back to Dollywagon from the track around Nethermost Pike.

Sunday Jun 5th. A bit different from two days previously, on the way up Bowscale Fell cloudy and quite cool for this view of Blencathra.

Sunday Jun 5th.With only two days to go until my ankle surgery decided a walk could not do much more harm so a limp to Bowscale Fell seemed like a good idea. And I won't be allowing any more shots of myself on the website!

Tuesday Jun 14th. On the way to High Close. Elterwater Village and Wetherlam.

Tuesday Jun 14th. From the top of Loughrigg, Elterwater and the Coniston Fells.

Tuesday Jun 14th.Crinkle Crags, Bowfell and the Langdale Pikes from Loughrigg Fell. High Close YHA directly below.

Tuesday Jun 28th On the way up to Helm Crag looking across Greenburn towards Steel Fell.

Tuesday Jun 28th Looking along the ridge path towards Gibson Knott from just below the top of Helm Crag. That's Steel Fell across Greenburn top right.

Tuesday Jun 28th. The true summit of Helm Crag is at the top of this outcrop, not a place for the nervous! The fell beyond is Seat Sandal and that's the summit of Fairfield top right of the picture.

And finally......Tuesday Jun 28th. Descending from the top of Helm Crag towards Grasmere.
